Nugget was adopted from Best Friends Animal Society two years ago when she was 1 1/2 years old. She is half mini-doxie and half spaniel, with the body and temperament of the doxie and the fur and coloring of the spaniel.
I named her Nugget because she is tiny, has gold splotches and is VERY precious.
I am a senior (84) and Nugget has decided that her goal in life is to protect me. Our favorite time of day is after I go to bed. She lays on top of me so we can snuggle. If I stop stroking her too soon, she nuzzles me for more! I am so lucky that she allows ME to share HER bed!
