Long known as one of the Pomona Valley’s premiere preschools, the Temple Beth Israel Preschool successfully reopened, Monday, August 31, following an extended closure due to the precautions taken to minimize the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Realizing that many families are not yet ready to have their children gather with other children, Temple Beth Israel has opened TBI Virtual Preschool.
Laura Zuckerman, who supervises the synagogue’s education program in her role on the TBI Board of Trustees, said, “ Many families in our community are not yet ready to have their children gather with other children, no matter what precautions are in place. For those families, TBI Preschool has now opened TBI Virtual Preschool as of September 14.”
The Virtual Preschool is developmentally age appropriate, with an early childhood staff. Accessible at each child’s pace, the Virtual Preschool offers a fun, engaging weekly themed based learning content. The online programming is broken up into small segments and offers a private subscription to the ClassDojo format, which parents can access any time of the day or evening.
The Temple’s early childhood programs are open to the community and the secular TBI Virtual Preschool is open nation-wide.
